A step-by-step guide to navigating the “Invest with AAVE” feature on the AXIR wallet.
What is investing with AAVE?

Investing with AAVE involves participating in decentralized lending and borrowing protocols offered by the AAVE platform. AAVE is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that allows users to lend and borrow various cryptocurrencies without the need for traditional financial intermediaries.

Here’s how investing with AAVE typically works:

  • Lending: Users can deposit their cryptocurrencies into AAVE's liquidity pools, where they earn interest on their deposited assets. By supplying liquidity to the platform, users contribute to the lending pool, which is used to facilitate borrowing activities.
  • Borrowing: Borrowers can access funds from AAVE's liquidity pools by providing collateral in the form of cryptocurrencies. They can borrow assets such as stablecoins or other cryptocurrencies, which they can use for trading, investment, or other purposes.
  • Interest Rates: The interest rates for lending and borrowing on AAVE are determined algorithmically based on supply and demand dynamics within the platform. Rates may vary over time and depend on factors such as asset liquidity and market conditions.
  • Collateralization: Borrowers are required to over-collateralize their loans, meaning they must provide more collateral than the value of the assets they borrow. This helps mitigate the risk of default and ensures the security of the lending pool.
  • Governance: AAVE operates using a decentralized governance model, allowing AAVE token holders to participate in decision-making processes related to protocol upgrades, fee adjustments, and other governance matters.
Investing with AAVE offers several potential benefits, including:
  • Passive Income: Lenders can earn interest on their deposited assets, providing a passive income stream without the need for active trading.
  • Access to Liquidity: Borrowers can access liquidity without the need for traditional banking services, enabling greater financial flexibility and autonomy.

However, it’s important to note that investing in decentralized finance protocols like AAVE carries inherent risks, including smart contract vulnerabilities, market volatility, and potential loss of funds. Therefore, it’s essential for investors to conduct thorough research and exercise caution when participating in DeFi platforms.

How to Invest (AAVE)?

Login to AXIR wallet. On the footer of the screen, tap “Earn” as shown in the screen below.

After you have tap on Earn, the screen that appears is for AAVE. Tap “Start Earning”.

After tapping on “Start Earning” you will see the list of all the tokens with text “Earn interest by lending your assets….” 


Search for your assets from the list and choose your token. 

After you choose your asset, it will show you your supply and what interest rate you will get if you invest with AAVE.

Tap on “Supply” button, which will show you the details of your supply. Tap “Continue” 
 
After you tap continue, below you will come to the screen where you will be asked to enter the amount, Wallet balance, Supply APY. Tap the “Continue” button.

After tapping “Continue”, you will be taken to the below screen where you will see the transaction details as amount you send and what amount you receive.

Tap “Confirm” again you will be brought to entering PIN screen. 

After you enter your correct pin, it takes few seconds for completing the transaction:

After few seconds of processing your transaction, you will get a successful message. Take a look at the screen below

If you want to “Withdraw” your invested Asset, then instead of tapping “Supply” tap “Withdraw” and this will bring you to the below screen.

The screen will show you your Withdrawal details and if you wish to Withdraw, just click on “Continue” will take you to similar screen we saw with Supply where you will have to enter the amount you want to withdraw. Once you enter the amount to be withdrawn, you will be taken to the screen here they will show the details of your transaction. You just need to tap “Continue”
